Fire Protection Installation
Professional Fire Protection Installation Across the UK
Comprehensive Fire Protection Designed, Installed and Certified by Qualified Engineers
Electrical Testing UK designs and installs fire protection systems for businesses, site operators and public sector organisations. Fire protection covers more than detection and warning alone. It also includes the suppression systems, passive fire protection measures and integrated safety infrastructure that slow the spread of fire. As a result, escape routes stay protected and occupants get the best possible chance of getting out safely. Our qualified engineers assess your premises and specify the right combination of measures for your building and risk profile. We then manage the installation through to certified completion.
Key Features Include

Whole-Building Fire Protection
We design and install fire protection across the full scope, detection, suppression, passive measures and emergency systems, specifying each element around the specific risks, occupancy and layout of your building.

commercial and industrial Installation
We install fire protection systems for site operators and facilities teams as well as commercial, industrial and public sector clients, with every installation designed to the relevant British Standards and fully certified on completion.

Suppression System Installation
We install gaseous, water mist and other suppression systems for high-risk areas including server rooms, plant rooms, commercial kitchens and industrial environments where conventional sprinkler systems are unsuitable.

Passive Fire Protection
We install fire doors, intumescent seals, fire-rated cable management and compartmentation measures that limit the spread of fire and smoke through a building, protecting escape routes and slowing structural damage.

Ongoing Maintenance and Testing
We offer planned maintenance contracts for all fire protection systems we install, ensuring every element of your fire protection infrastructure remains compliant and fully operational throughout its service life.
Fire Protection Installation for commercial and industrial sites and Industrial Sites
Fire Protection for Site Operators and Facilities Teams
Effective commercial fire protection goes beyond detection. It also includes fire doors, intumescent seals and fire-rated construction. Therefore, we advise on the full range of measures appropriate for your property. We then carry out installation to the relevant standards, with documentation for building control and insurance purposes.
Fire Suppression Systems for Commercial Kitchens
Commercial kitchens need dedicated wet chemical suppression systems. As a result, these systems activate automatically to suppress cooking fires at source. We supply, install and commission kitchen suppression systems for restaurants, hotels, school canteens and catering environments. In addition, we provide full certification and planned maintenance.
Gaseous Fire Suppression for Server Rooms and Data Centres
Server rooms and data centres need gaseous suppression systems. These extinguish fire without damaging sensitive equipment. Therefore, we design and install them for critical infrastructure environments. Where required, we also integrate with fire detection panels and building management systems.
Water Mist Fire Suppression Systems
Water mist systems are an effective alternative to traditional sprinklers. They suit sites where water damage is a concern or space is limited. As a result, we install them for heritage buildings, hotels and commercial premises. Each system meets BS 8458 and the relevant LPC rules.
Passive Fire Protection for Commercial and Industrial Buildings
Passive fire protection limits how far fire and smoke spread through a building. We install fire doors, intumescent collars, pipe seals, fire-rated cable management and penetration seals. Moreover, we cover new builds, refurbishments and remediation programmes where existing compartmentation has been compromised.
Integrated Fire Protection for Large and Public Sector Buildings
Large and multi-occupancy buildings need fire protection that works as a coordinated system. Here, detection, suppression, smoke ventilation and monitoring all integrate within a single fire safety strategy. Therefore, we work with architects, fire engineers and building control to design and install integrated systems. We deliver these for schools, healthcare buildings and large commercial premises.
From Risk Assessment to Certified Completion
Assessing Your Fire Risk and Protection Requirements
Every fire protection project begins with an assessment of your premises. We review the risks present and the protection measures already in place. For smaller commercial premises, this is usually a straightforward survey. For larger commercial and industrial sites, however, we carry out a detailed review. This covers the building layout, occupancy, escape routes and existing detection and suppression provision. We also identify any specific hazards, such as commercial cooking, flammable storage or server infrastructure, that need dedicated protection.
Designing Your Fire Protection System to British Standards
We design each suppression system to the relevant standard for its type. For example, we use BS 7273 for gaseous systems, BS 8458 for water mist and BS EN 12845 for sprinklers. In addition, we specify passive fire protection measures in line with the building’s fire strategy and Approved Document B. We then produce a full design before any installation begins. This covers all active and passive elements and how they integrate within the building’s overall fire safety provision.
Installing and Commissioning Your Fire Protection Systems
Our own qualified engineers carry out the installation. We complete all work to the design specification and the relevant British Standards. On completion, we fully commission every suppression system. Therefore, we test and verify every detection input, actuation output and suppression discharge function. We also install and record passive fire protection measures, with photographic evidence provided where required for building control sign-off.
Providing Certification and Handover Documentation
On completion, we provide full commissioning certificates for all active systems. We also supply installation records for passive measures, operating and maintenance manuals, and any documentation required by building control, your insurer or your fire risk assessor. For systems connected to our monitoring centre, we confirm the monitoring connection. Finally, we provide the monitoring contract documentation as part of handover.
Why Businesses and Property Owners Choose Electrical Testing UK for Fire Protection
Comprehensive Fire Protection Designed, Installed and Certified by Qualified Engineers
Complete fire protection from one contractor
We install detection, suppression and passive fire protection. In addition, we offer ongoing maintenance for all systems we install. As a result, one contractor manages the full scope. You get a single point of contact and a single point of responsibility for your fire protection infrastructure.
Design led by risk, not by product
We design fire protection systems around your specific risks and building characteristics, not around a standard product range. Therefore, the systems we specify are appropriate for your premises. They are also correctly designed to meet your legal obligations and insurance requirements.
Experience across all building types and risk profiles
Our engineers work across commercial premises, small commercial premises, large industrial facilities and complex public sector buildings. As a result, they have the experience to specify and install fire protection measures that are right for the environment and the risk.
Full documentation for insurers and building control
We fully document every installation. We provide commissioning certificates, design drawings, installation records and operating manuals. Moreover, we supply them in the format required by your insurer, your fire risk assessor and building control.
Qualified engineers, not subcontractors
Our own qualified engineers carry out all fire protection installation work. Because we do not subcontract, quality and accountability remain with Electrical Testing UK throughout every project.
