What is an EICR?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a certificate that details the safety and overall condition of all the electrical fittings and installations in a home or property.
Why do I need one?
If you are a landlord or renting out property it is now a legal requirement to ensure the electrical safety of your tenants by getting an EICR carried out by a qualified electrician, like ours. It is recommended that you get a new certificate every 5 years for your property, or whenever new tenants are moving in.
What happens during the test?
Our qualified electricians will carry out a thorough electrical inspection and investigate the condition of the electrical wiring, fixtures, and fittings throughout your property to check the safety of the electrical installation.
This will tell us if there is any damage to the electrical equipment within your property, whether that be general wear and tear or anything more substantial.
We will also highlight if any wiring doesn’t meet the standards set out in the IET Wiring Regulations, as well as any equipment that poses an electric shock risk.
The report will either declare if the electrical installation is safe and satisfactory, or if any remedial work is required.
What if the report flags safety issues?
If any remedial work is needed to meet current safety standards, we will let you know straightaway. We are here to help put things right and can provide a quote to carry out any additional work to ensure the safety of your tenants and property.
How will I receive my certificate?
Once completed we will send you your EICR certificate electronically in PDF format via email and it will also be available to download through our customer portal.

We carry out many other electrical testing services too, such as PAT testing (test and tag) and thermal imaging testing. It is so important that these vital checks are carried out to reduce the risk of electrical fires breaking out and keeping everyone within your property safe.
