Solar Installations with Battery Storage

If you are looking to reduce your electricity bills and generate your own excess electricity to store, solar photovoltaic technology (solar PV) systems convert the sun’s energy into power using PV cells.

These cells do not require direct sunlight to operate and can therefore continue to operate even on overcast or cloudy days – making them perfect for the British weather. By adding batteries to the system, you can store the excess energy you have produced during the day and use it at night or the following day.

When it comes to installing solar panel systems with battery storage, Electrical Testing UK is the company to trust. We provide a start-to-finish service, so you can sit back and relax while our experienced renewable energy team designs and installs everything you need. With electricity prices increasing, now is the perfect time to maximise your solar energy and cut your electricity bill.

Retro-Fitting Battery Storage to Existing Solar Systems

If you have a solar system that does not have a battery storage feature, you are able to retrofit one to your existing system. With this, you will be able to increase the systems’ self-consumption by storing excess energy that would normally be exported back to the grid unused.

You may receive payments to export unused energy back to the grid (usually based on 50% generated), even though you will be storing all unused energy within the batteries. Battery storage will help you maximise electricity generated from solar panels, and store and use electricity on demand.

Electrical Testing UK also offers the ability to still run your electrical appliance’s during a power outage using the EPS facility on the inverter/chargers we use.

Commercial Solar Installations

Once testing is complete, we will issue you with an Electrical Installation Condition Report, or EICR.

This report will either declare your electrical installation satisfactory, meaning that it meets all relevant safety standards, or will detail improvements that need to be made to bring your premises up to standard. Reports are issued digitally in PDF format and can also be accessed via our online customer portal.
